Susan Aumann grew up in the Hunt Valley community of Greencroft. She is married to Karl, Maryland’s former Secretary of State and current commissioner for the Workers’ Compensation Commission. They have two children Langley (16) and Catherine (13) and live in the Timonium neighborhood of Wakefield. A graduate of Notre Dame Preparatory School, Susan received a degree in Business Administration and Finance from the College of Notre Dame and later received a degree in Accounting. She has worked as an accountant and auditor for private and publicly-held companies. Active in the Republican Party for more than 16 years, Susan Aumann has been part of Governor Bob Ehrlich’s campaign team since he first ran for House of Delegates in 1986. She was treasurer of the Bob Ehrlich for Maryland Committee until winning the primary. Susan has also been involved in a wide variety of community activities including:
